ICAR – NRC on Mithun conducted a training on “Scientific Management Practices in Mithun Farming for Augmenting Farmer’s Income” for the mithun farmers - 30 Aug. - 1 Sept. 2022 ICAR-National Research Centre on Mithun, Medziphema, Nagaland organized a 3-day training programe on, “Scientific Management Practices in Mithun Farming for Augmenting Farmer’s Income” for the mithun farmers from 30th August 2022 to 1st September 2022. The farmers were from Papum Pare & Upper Siang of Arunachal Pradesh comprising of 5 villages.

Animal health camp and TSP inputs distribution programme, Porba village, Phek district - 17 August 2022 On 17 th August, 2022, ICAR NRC on Mithun conducted Animal health camp and TSP inputs distribution programme for the mithun farmers of Porba village, Phek district under TSP scheme. A total of 63 farmers participated in the programme and 110 mithuns were also vaccinated.

ICAR-NRC on Mithun celebrates 76th Independence Day - 15 August 2022 ICAR-NRC on Mithun celebrates the 76th Independence Day at the Institute campus on Monday, 15 August 2022. With a sense of pride and patriotism the flag hoisting was inititated by the director of the Institute, Dr. M. H. Khan, along with the scientists, employees, and the citizens of the locality.

College of Veterinary Sciences & AH, Jalukie, Intern students, visits ICAR-NRC on Mithun- 5 August 2022 ICAR-NRC on Mithun was visited by 26 intern students along with 2 faculties from College of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, Jalukie as a part of their Education Tour on 5 th August 2022. They visited the mithun farm of the Institute. The students were briefly explained about housing, feeding, reproductive and health management of mithun under semi-intensive system. They were also offered mithun milk for drinking.

Health camp cum vaccination and TSP input materials distribution| Tobu - 06 July 2022 On 6th July 2022, A training was conducted for the mithun farmers of Tobu village, Mon district under the institute TSP programme and DFMD NEH activities, where more than 50 farmers attended the programme. The farmers were taught about the management of mithun, semi-intensive rearing system and health care and management. A total of 70 mithun were vaccinated with the FMDV vaccine on the spot.
