One-day special cleanliness campaign
A one-day special cleanliness campaign under the aegis of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was conducted at NRC on Mithun Farm, Medziphema on 13th August, 2024. The campaign aimed to enhance the cleanliness and maintain the health of the farm animals as well as fodder fields by eradicating invasive weeds and plants that are not consumed by Mithun. A total of 37 workers participated in the campaign.

The ICAR-NRC on Mithun took part in the 78 th Independence Day celebrations held in Medziphema Town on 15 th August 2024, showcased various technologies and products developed by the Institute. Shri. H. Tovihoto Ayemi, Advisor for Tribal Affairs and Election, Government of Nagaland, attended the event as the Chief Guest. Both the Chief Guest and numerous visitors explored the NRCM stall, which featured and sold NRCM’s value-added milk and meat products to the public.
