On 25th October 2021, ICAR-NRC on Mithun, Medziphema organized an inaugural programme for six days training programme on “Scientific Management of Livestock Farm vis-à-vis Mithun Husbandry” for VFA students of thirty numbers from Veterinary Field Assistant Training Institute, Medziphema w.e.f 25th to 30th October 2021. This training programme was organized as a part of the capacity-building program with the objectives to educate and to create awareness and enhance their knowledge and skill about livestock husbandry but also create awareness about the Mithun husbandry practices. So that ultimately the whole farming community will be benefited. At the outset, Dr Nazrul Haque, In-charge Director, welcome all the participants for the training programme and also emphasizes the need for the training programme. Dr. Salang Temjen, Principal of VFA training institute has welcomed the initiative of ICAR-NRC on Mithun for educating the students and also making the awareness of the scientific management of livestock for uplifting the rural economy.

The inaugural programme was attended by thirty students of Veterinary Field Assistant and Scientific and administrative staff of ICAR-NRC on Mithun, Nagaland. With the inauguration of the 6-Days training programme, students have been attending the training programme with great enthusiasm and showed active participation. We look forward to the rest of the days with optimism and great hope for the young aspiring students from VFATI Medziphema.
