A farmer-scientist interaction programme was organized by ICAR-National Research Centre on Mithun, Medziphema at Mani Village of Papumpare district on 17th June 2022. During the farmer scientist interaction programme, farmers have raised different issues about mithun farming. Dr Kezha discusses semi-intensive mithun rearing and how it will benefit people economically. The scientific information related to advanced mithun husbandry was also provided to mithun rearer by the scientific team covering various aspects of mithun husbandry. During the programme, Dr Nabam Gama, KVK Papumpare, provided scientific information related to advanced mithun husbandry along with different preventive measures against different diseases. Dr Jayanta and Dr Vikram, also gave answers to different issues raised by farmers during the programme. The mithun farmers were given input in the form of medicine such as Vitamins, dewormer, and other common medicines for first aid. The farmers were also briefed on the importance of vaccination in order to control the prevalence. The programme was attended by Dr J.K. Chamuah, Scientist; Dr Vikram R, Scientist and Dr Kezhavituo Vupru, Chief Technical Officer.
